This month we have tried to make some changes in our editorial content.

For the first time we carry in this issue excerpts from a book on air sports. We carry some excerpts from Kevin Rutland's book - "Flying With the Angels - the Microlight Experience".

This month we had also planned to carry a software programme review - but for technical reasons have carried it forward. We have received a programme from Wilco Publishing - HANGSIM. It takes you on flights in Hang Gliders, Microlights, Gliders and Paragliders. Our review of this Light Aviation Simulation programme is complete and will be published in the May 2000 issue of Air Sports International.

We look forward to making these two features as regular features in our netzine. Readers are welcome to send us your books and software programmes for review. These will be reviewed by our experts and published in the earliest issue of Air Sports International. Please mail these to my address in India.

The Special End of Century Edition of 'Sport Aerobatics' (December 1999) arrived on our table just a couple of days ago. We cannot but help sharing two very interesting compilations done by Karen Diamond, Editor, Sport Aerobatics :
- Century Gallery : Classic Memories From the World of Aerobatics; and
- The State of Aerobatics Around the World.

Karen Diamond has done a marvelous job of these two compilations and they are a must read for all air sports enthusiasts.

Dave Simpson has written an excellent first person account of his microlight flying experiences in "Fleaing the Rat Race". We have reproduced this from Microlight Flying (MF). Kind courtesy the Editor David Bremner and the author himself.

Tom & Dianne Lee have sent in some delightful pictures of the "Chauteau d'Oex Balloon Week". Although they claimed not to be professional journalists and thus not be a able to write a good story but the reality is different as you will note when you read their story and see their pictures.

May I make another appeal to organisers and participants at all our air shows and events. Send us your pictures and stories and we shall publish them giving your talent and effort a world wide coverage amongst all air sports enthusiasts across the globe.

We would also be happy to receive your letters and comments. So do write in.
