Sierra Nevada Selection Procedures



Team size WAG 2001 (adopted unanimously during the 2001 CIVL meeting)

150 pilots that fulfil the requirements as previously published.

If there is not 150 pilots, then the remaining spaces will be filled.

Firstly - Female pilots up to 2 per team (as long as they fulfil the qualification criteria)

Secondly - Male pilots according to the rule made last year

Thirdly - Add 1 pilot for all the top 5 countries, and so on, one by one.

All the Countries have been required previously to nominate 5+2 pilots who meet the selection criteria including the additional criteria for Sierra Nevada.

The first and second selection rounds will end the 31st of March with entry fees paid:

Countries failing to enter pilots by the 31st of March will be considered as non participating countries.

By the 5th of April all the Countries will be confirmed individually their team participation .

Third selection round:

Places may still be available after the 2 first rounds, in this case, these places will be allocated according to the above rule.

Countries who can enter more than 5 male pilots are requested to sent one more pilot's application.

The 3rd selection round will end on the 15th of April. The organisers will confirm then if they were able to enter these pilots or not.
