How is the FAI World Grand Prix different to other Aerobatic events?
| Different |
to traditional aerobatic competitions the only international
aerobatic competition: |
- to music, since 1990
- fitting in a 2-hour event for live broadcast (9 solo pilots and
3 formation teams)
- open to all types of aircraft (piston engines, turbines, jets)
- open to solo pilots and to formation teams
- displayed as a yearly series of contests around the world
- awarding an official world champion title to formation teams and
to aircraft manufacturers
| Different |
to traditional air displays
|
The FAI World Grand Prix team is a civilian team and represents
an average of 12 aircraft and 42 people including 12 technicians, 15
officials and management team and 15 pilots
The FAI World Grand Prix can be held anywhere in the world
where safety requirements are fulfilled
