2nd World Air Games 2001 - Powered Paragliders

A PPG (or Paramotor, or Microlight class RPF1) is defined as a "Foot launched microlight with a 'paraglider control system' flown solo".

The 2nd WAG Championship in Powered Paragliders to take place in Spain will also be the 2nd World Championship of the discipline. The Powered paraglider (PPG) class was first established as a World Championship class at the 1997 World Air Games in Turkey.

The event will be conducted as an exciting mobile competition starting in Beas de Segura. The Final flight schedule has now been confirmed as follows:

  • June 22 - Beas de Segura (local task)
  • June 23 and 24 - Cordoba (local task)
  • June 25 - flight Cordoba to La Puebla de los Infantes; Publa de los infantes (local task)
  • June 26 - flight Puebla de los Infantes to Sevilla
  • June 27 - Sevilla (local task); June 28 - flight Sevilla to Lebrija
  • June 29 - flight Lebrija to Sanlucar de Barrameda (+ local task)
  • June 30 - Sanlucar de Barrameda (local task).
