World Air Games will be:

class

World Gliding Championship for 18M class

Time Schedule:
Airfield available for training flights 10 June
2001.
Pilots registrations to be completed by 1600 hrs
22 June 2001.
Official training will be conducted 17-22 June.
First Team Captain Briefing 18 hrs 22 June 2001.
Configuration change closes (10.3) 1800 hrs 19
June 2001
Opening Ceremony in Seville 23 June 2001
Contest flying 24-30 June 2001

General and Local Regulations
The Championships shall be controlled in accordance
with the FAI Sporting Code,
General Section, Section 3 (Gliders & Motor
Gliders), and Annex A to Section 3
The additional Local Rules will be distributed
to all NACs and IGC delegates. The final version approved for IGC will
be distributed to all NACs and competitors concerned.
Some important advance information :
- The Championships consist of two classes: World
Class and 18 M Class as described in the main body of Section 3 of
the Sporting Code, Chapter 6.
- Each NAC may enter 2 pilots in World Class
and 2 pilot in 18 M class, plus a reserve pilot on each Class.
- Any number of entries up to 80 is allowed,
with a maximum of 40 gliders in World Class and 40 in 18 M Class.
- Flight shall be controlled by GNSS FR’s. All
necessary data, including airspace restrictions
will be distributed, as soon as possible in advance at the
championships. It is the responsibility of the
competitors to load these into their FR
or other equipment.
